Friday Night Crafts: Mixed Media Collage Cards AND a Service Project to support Suicide Prevention
Cafe Quetzal · West Topeka
Arrive anytime between 5:30-8:30 pm to enjoy this free hands-on community-crafting activity!
Whether you order dinner from our delicious food menu, treat yourself to a special beverage, or come for the craft on your way home, we are always glad to see you!
We will have small cards, cardstock, scrapbook papers, colored pencils, markers, magazines, scissors, glue, tape, stickers, washi tape, twine, yarn, quotes, and MORE to inspire your art heart in creating your own mixed media collages – whether you focus on small encouraging cards or something a bit bigger.
PLUS – our service project this week is to assemble at least 250 packets that each include 10 encouraging notes (we have many of the notes already!) and the challenge for the recipient of the packet to brighten the day of 10 other people with encouragement by distributing their cards. Our first 250 packets will go into the participant bags for the Shawnee County Suicide Prevention Coalition 5K event that is coming up this month.
Any additional packets we create we will have in stock at Cafe Quetzal for anyone who wants to take one to spread some kindness and encouragement!
What will you create when you follow your art heart at Cafe Quetzal?
