Join us for a FREE, hands-on workshop at the beautiful Kay McFarland Japanese Garden at the Topeka Zoo. You’ll learn how to write and share your life story using Lasting Legacy Online — a free platform where your story lives forever for family and friends to read.

Whether you’re brand new or already have an account and have started writing your life story, this is a dedicated opportunity and time to write — our team will be right there with you every step of the way.

What to Bring

A laptop, tablet, or smartphone — need one? Let us know when you RSVP and we’ll do our best to help

Photos you’d like to add to your story (digital works great)
Your memories and stories — the most important thing you’ll bring
Any notes or documents you may have already started writing
