About This Event

⚔️ Bath House Players present She Kills Monsters ⚔️📍 Helen Hocker Theater
The Bath House Players, Helen Hocker’s longtime summer program for teens, return to the stage with the bold, funny, and deeply moving dramatic comedy She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen.
This production is created entirely by high school students. From the performers onstage to the sets, sound, and backstage work that bring the story to life, these young artists collaborate to produce a full theatrical experience from start to finish, gaining hands-on training and real-world theatre skills along the way.
She Kills Monsters follows Agnes Evans, who leaves her childhood home in Ohio after the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes discovers Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she is pulled into an action-packed fantasy world that served as her sister’s refuge. What follows is a high-octane journey filled with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, 90s pop culture, and unexpected moments of humor and heart.
Both hilarious and heartfelt, this play is a tribute to imagination, grief, connection, and the heroic strength it takes to understand the people we love. It’s a celebration of the geek, the warrior, and the storyteller in all of us.
🎭 Join us in supporting these talented students and experience a powerful, imaginative production that blends comedy, action, and emotional truth.
