Topeka United and Dirty Girl Adventures invite you to our 7th Annual Kaw River Float! Let’s keep mixin’ it up!! We love connecting people to each other and to nature. Join us for a mixer on the Kaw! It is our favorite place to spend time in nature, and we can’t wait to share it with <a href="http://you.We” target=”_blank” title=”you.We”>you.We will paddle down the Delaware River to the confluence of the Delaware and the Kansas Rivers. We will spend some time on the sandbar and then paddle down the Kaw to get off the river at Lecompton Rising Sun River Access.

Own Your Own GEAR DROP – these are people who own their own kayakARRIVE BY 10:30 am. This is you if you are bringing your own kayak; you will need to gear drop at the Canoe Drop at the Perry Lake Spillway.Then you’ll head to the Lecompton Rising Sun River Access to board the bus. We will remain with your gear and ours while you’re gone.
EVERYONE CHECK IN: 11:00am at the Lecompton Rising Sun River Access. Everyone will meet here to load the bus for a ride to our put-in location at the Perry Lake Spillway.
What are you paying for? Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC will organize the event, provide a guide, support on the river trail, and provide docent information throughout the event. We will monitor the weather and conditions to ensure that the event and participants are safe. Our knowledgeable and informed guide service includes a leading guide and a sweep guide during the paddle. Support includes: first aid, knowledge of the environment and locale, safety monitoring, pacing, and interpretive information about the environment and locale.

Sunglasses3. Sun protectant clothing4. Water shoes or old tennis shoes (Crocs and flip flops are not acceptable)
Note: we also suggest a car bag for post paddle – dry towel to sit on, dry clothes (things that will make the ride home more comfy)Limited number of spots available – If this event is SOLD OUT, you may request a spot on our waiting list by emailing adventure@dirtygirladventures.net – tell us what ticket type you want and how many. We will track the list and add you to the event if we can.
Expected time commitment: However long it takes, we don’t rush; we go with the flow. This start time suggests we’ll be off the river late <a href="http://afternoon.In” target=”_blank” title=”afternoon.In”>afternoon.In case you are wondering about our refund policy, refunds are given up to two weeks before the date of the event when the refund is requested in an email directed to adventure@dirtygirladventures.net. After that, there are no refunds. Dirty Girl Adventures may cancel an event due to weather or conditions. Everyone will receive a refund if that is the reason for the cancellation. We will paddle and hike in cool, rainy or snowy conditions. Cancellation only occurs in severe weather or other dangerous conditions.
