In this free introductory workshop, you’ll learn how art therapy can help you explore yourself and your emotions in a profound and transformative way—even if you’ve never done art before. This is a non-judgemental safe way to explore, play and express yourself freely!Hosted by Kate Colson (Skye), LMSW, ATR, a licensed art therapist, this session will guide you through the magical benefits of art therapy in a caring and supportive environment. You’ll experience a hands-on art therapy activity using art materials—all of which are provided to you. During the workshop, I’ll explain how art therapy can help you: Learn how to use your own innate ability to heal through creativity. Discover and connect with yourself through self-awareness, self-discovery, and self-love. Manage stress and cultivate calm in your body and mind. Express and process emotions without needing to talk or explain anything as sharing is always optional. Enhance your intuition and connection to your higher self allowing for enhanced problem solving. Reduce symptoms of chronic pain, illness and release tension through creative flow. Whether your goal is healing, personal insight, or simply exploring your creative side, this workshop offers something for everyone. You’ll leave with a greater understanding of how art can be a transformative tool in your daily life, and a tangible piece of artwork reflecting your personal journey.
