Between the Lines
Not everything is written. Not everything is spoken. Between the Lines is an exhibit of drawings that dwell in the spaces where meaning lingers between gesture and silence, intention and accident, presence and absence.
These works, rendered solely in pencil, ink, charcoal, and graphite on paper, invite viewers to read the invisible. Each line is a sentence. Each smudge, a suggestion. Each blank space, a breath withheld.
Drawing is the first language, the one we use before words arrive. In Between the Lines, we honor the quiet urgency of mark-making, the intimacy of paper, and the stories that emerge when we dare to look closer.
Open through the end of March. The NOTO Arts Center is open Wed 11-4, Thur 11-5, Fri 11-6 and Sat 11-3.For more information visit explorenoto.org
