When the spotlight shines, the truth is hard to hide.
Step into a Berlin nightclub at the end of the 1920s, where a flamboyant Master of Ceremonies promises the audience they’ll forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as sharp, wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous lives of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the rise of the Third Reich.
Cliff, a young American writer new to Berlin, is immediately drawn to English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, who runs their boarding house, cautiously begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a gentle fruit seller who happens to be Jewish.
Featuring iconic musical numbers including “Willkommen,” “Cabaret,” “Don’t Tell Mama,” and “Two Ladies,” this Tony-winning classic is as thrilling and hauntingly relevant as ever.
Join us at Helen Hocker Theater for an unforgettable night at the Cabaret. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 10 online and in the HHT Box Office.
