Topeka Civic Theatre is thrilled to announce auditions for Shrek the Musical, the Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure that brings the beloved film to the stage in a big, bold, and hilarious way.
About the ShowShrek the Musical proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears. When a grumpy ogre finds his swamp overrun by fairy-tale misfits, he sets off on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. With a short-tempered villain, a cookie with an attitude, and a cast of unforgettable characters, this larger-than-life musical celebrates friendship, courage, and embracing what makes you unique.
Audition Information• Auditioners must prepare a musical selection to sing• Songs from Shrek the Musical are preferred, but not required• If singing a selection from another show or songwriter, please bring sheet music for the pianist• Performers of all experience levels are encouraged to audition
