Our very own Anne Kufahl will be our featured artist for the month of September. Join us for the monthly First Friday Art Walk to view a collection of her self selected works. Gallery’s regular hours are Wednesday – Friday 11-6 & Saturday 11-4.
Anne Kufahl:My interests have changed over time, and I am leaning towards new ways of expressing myself. In the past, my focus was to draw the figure using charcoal and oils as my favorite mediums. Presently, I am rediscovering new ways to create my art using more environmentally friendly materials such as water color, collage, tempura and acrylics. I’m moving away from the figure and investigating landscape and more abstract compositions.
I have a degree in education with emphasis in English, Math, and Art from Washburn University and a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Kansas with emphasis in drawing and Painting.
