For nearly 45 years Mark and The Sharks have been one of the top bands in the Midwest region. Founded in 1985 by Mark Toelkes, and Doug Renbarger. The band has relied on its roots in blues, rock, and soul to become a driving force in the local music scene at festivals and other venues throughout the Midwest.
Drummer/ vocalist, Rick Aubrey is a veteran of the Kansas and Missouri music scene and has been the foundation for the driving rhythm of the band for many years.
Lead guitarist / vocalist, Kelly Stansbury’s playing and singing gives the band energy and focus that gives them their unique sound.
Keyboardist, Doug Renbarger is the only keyboard player the band has ever had. Doug and his Hammond Organ sound and various other keys are a major part of the “Mark and The Sharks.”
Bass player /singer Mark Toelkes comes from a R&B and Rock background and his vocal energy and steady playing combined with the rest of the band makes them a force to be reckoned with and one of the best in the Midwest at their brand of music which includes both originals and covers with their own special touch.
