Lady Shakes is looking for women of all ages and experience levels who want to bring sizzle, sass, grit and whoopee to our next production, Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare. Sometimes referred to as Shakespeare’s #MeToo play, we’re setting the action in 1926 New York City, in the glitz and glamour of the Jazz Age. This play explores themes of justice, power, desire, mercy, love, forgiveness and redemption.
And course there will be showgirls!

Comedic and dramatic (both large and small) and dancing roles available. Although we’re setting the play 100 years ago, this play feels as relevant and vital as ever.
