2026 Annual Community Conversation on Health

Join the Shawnee County Health Department (SCHD) in partnership with LiveWell Shawnee County for the 2026 Annual Community Conversation on Health!

📅 Friday, October 2, 2026🕙 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon📍 SCHD 2600 SW East Circle Drive, Topeka, KS

This annual event brings residents, community leaders, and partners together to learn about current public health priorities, explore local health data, and discuss how we can work together to create a healthier, more equitable Shawnee County.

This year’s conversation will include:
A look at local health data and emerging public health priorities
A preview of the upcoming Community Health Needs

Assessment and how you can help ensure residents across the county have an opportunity to participate

A featured panel discussion, “Why Public Health Matters,” bringing together community leaders to discuss collaboration, shared responsibility, and the role we all play in improving community health

Presentation of the 2026 Public Health Champion Awards, recognizing one individual and one organization for their contributions to improving health and advancing equitable opportunities throughout Shawnee County

Panelists include:
