To eat, or not to eat, that is the question
Gov. Sam Brownback is asking Kansans to fast and pray on his last full day in office, January 31.
Caitlyn Lambrecht is asking you to join her in a gluttonous farewell lunch.
“Join us right in front of Brownback’s office door for a gluttonous farewell luncheon. Bring your own food or food to share and stuff your face with as much food as you possibly can. (Note: this is in no way a catered event. More of an encouragement to eat your lunch in a specific location.)”
Perhaps Brownback’s request for fasting comes two weeks too early?
Whether you decide to brown-bag it or not, one thing is certain – Brownback will resign as governor of Kansas at 3p Wednesday, January 31.
The U.S. Senate confirmed Brownback as ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom on January 24 on a 49-49 vote of the Senate, with Vice President Pence breaking the tie in favor of Brownback.
