The Shape of Water is a story of a creature captured in South America and brought to a U.S. laboratory in Baltimore for studying. Sally Hawkins plays Elisa Esposito who is a deaf janitor working at the top secret research facility in the 1960s. The movie centers around the unique relationship between the lonely janitor and the amphibious creature that is being held in captivity.

It compares to movie greats such as Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein and Pan’s Labyrinth.
