ANNETTE BILLINGS is…how do we describe, she is our everything. A seveneightfive Woman Who Rocks, a poet, a mentor, a mother, a friend. “Annette reminds me that poetry can have purpose, as well as appeal,” wrote Huascar Medina, seveneightfive lit editor. “Annette is a poet whom, ‘when the time came for their poetry/ to be of injustice and equality,’ she was willing to toil and produce. This is what you write when ‘hard truths plead for verse.'” Kansas, A Good Place to Grow by Huascar Medina. “She not only shows us Kansas cultivates talented poets, she demands, ‘it must be a good place to grow black girls too.'”

This is what you write when hard truths plead for verse.

JANCY PETTIT another seveneightfive Woman Who Rocks, has her own unique form of Energy Art based on a spontaneous movement form derived from a wide variety of martial arts practices. “Energy infused art has the ability to enhance the energy of spaces and benefit those who encounter it in a positive way.”
