FEATURING: Philip Hershberger encaustic panels. Encaustic painting is an ancient obscure medium using beeswax infused with pigment. The artist is only allowed a few seconds to work with the application.

DIANE LAWRENCE FEATURING: Silk paintings and new wearable art from Diane Lawrence. As an artist, her focus is always on color; colors “so intense that the viewer is drawn to the art work, like a moth to a flame.”

FEATURING: Works from Matt Miller (above), Virginia Grass Simmons and Cris Sundquist; exhibiting new paintings of the Kansas prairie. TWO PONDERS: a collaboration FEATURING: A collaboration between poet Dennis Etzel, Jr. and artist Barbara Waterman-Peters. Using the pond by the Reinisch Rose Garden, the two discovered that time is a triptych in their examination of water in the past, present and future.
