Dirty Girl Adventures Presents: The Konza Prairie in Spring
For 2026, we’re on a mission to visit the Konza Prairie Biological Station in all four seasons. Our goal is to deepen our Prairie experience and knowledge by intentionally observing and embracing the prairie’s beauty every season of the <a href="http://year.This” target=”_blank” title=”year.This”>year.This is our second seasonal hike and we expect to see all the signs of SPRING! The prairie is beautiful year-round, in May we expect to see spring blooms and new growth in all of the awakening prairie.
Plan to join us:-Meet-up: 2 PM at the Konza Prairie parking lot-The Hike: We will choose the distance on the day of the hike. There are three loop options, ranging from 1.5 to 4.6 miles—perfect for tailoring to conditions and <a href="http://preferences.-Post-hike” target=”_blank” title=”preferences.-Post-hike”>preferences.-Post-hike we may venture to a local eatery or pub for post hike <a href="http://socializing.Come” target=”_blank” title=”socializing.Come”>socializing.Come share the journey as we intentionally visit, observe, and compare the distinct seasons of the Konza in 2026!
Where: Check in at the Konza Prairie Trail parking area (specific directions will be emailed 24 hours before the event)What: Guided group hiking with information about the trails and the local flora and <a href="http://fauna.Bring/Wear:” target=”_blank” title=”fauna.Bring/Wear:”>fauna.Bring/Wear: Watch the weather, hat, bandana, trekking poles, shoes with good tread. BUG SPRAY!

Registration, Benefits, and SafetyYour registration fee ensures a professionally organized and guided event by Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC. This includes a knowledgeable guide service with both a lead and sweep guide, comprehensive trail support (first aid, safety monitoring, pacing), and docent information about the environment and locale. We prioritize your safety by continuously monitoring weather and conditions.
Refund PolicyFull refunds are available if requested via email to $adventure@dirtygirladventures.net$ up to two weeks before the event. No refunds are provided after this two-week deadline. Dirty Girl Adventures reserves the right to cancel an event only in cases of severe weather or dangerous conditions, in which case all participants will receive a full refund. Note that we typically proceed with events in cool, rainy, or snowy conditions.
