Nick Perry of Red Legger Studio produces highly detailed images that investigate narratives ranging from human origins to popular American culture. His drawings and fine art prints employ a bold graphic aesthetic to interrogate themes that are both sacred and ephemeral. Through the appropriation of figures drawn from advertising, propaganda, and human history, Perry constructs dense visual landscapes that deliberately reframe and destabilize the original intentions of these images. His practice is informed by historical and cultural inquiry, as well as by traditions of underground comics, outlaw printmaking, and lowbrow art, situating his work within a broader dialogue between visual culture, history, and contemporary representation.
