street music – top city thursdays

Heard about Top City Thursdays? Yes? Good! Check back often because we’ll keep you up to date on all the great things happening this summer during TCT (and no, we don’t mean Topeka Civic Theatre).

A few things to remember:

  1. Top City Thursdays are every Thursday – from 5 to 8 pm — now until Sept. 30.
  2. Top City Thursdays features Topeka’s unique downtown merchants. Bring your comfy walking shoes and a couple of bucks. A piece of fudge, a candle, a 99-cent sangria. Feel good you’ve done your part. Wanna do more? Spend $50 over 3 places per month and become part of the 3/50 Project.
  3. Downtown Topeka Inc. is the mastermind behind the plan and seveneightfive magazine is super excited to co-host this event all summer long. It’s retail therapy you can feel really good about!

July 22

  • 8th + KS:  Maple 12 String [Bill James / 12-string guitar]
  • Hazel Hill: Kaylee Xidis – clarinet/oboe

July 29: seveneightfive + DTI Shop Crawl

Semi-annual event that features exclusive specials from 5 – 8, light refreshments in many stores and an abundance of entertainment.  If you only come down one Thursday – this is the one!  ****Band locations are subject to change****

Just let us know you’re coming and show up!  We do ask that you are respectful of the scheduled performers at Sixth and Kansas and 8th and Kansas (and please get the shop owner’s permission before popping a squat in front.)  Other than that–the Avenue is yours.
