Blues/Rock from Mission, KS
Levee Town was picked to represent Kansas City at the 2010 International Blues Challenge. I obsess over Levee Town about as much as I do for Trampled Underfoot [the 2008 KC IBC pick + winner]
They guys are great and I personally think that Brandon Hudspeth is one of the best guitarists around.

That’s Alright
Opening the show is Eli Cook “Featuring fast-fingered guitar and a powerful voice beyond his years, Cook doesn’t need any Robert-Johnson-style pact with the devil to take him to the top.” [Eli Cook's Red House Blues Band, by Matthew Hirst, C'ville Review, 12/10/2003]

Topeka’s own Josh Vowell & the Rumble open for Tinsley Ellis!!!
With additional opening act from Sean Mullady
Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Tinsley Ellis ranks among the top blues/rock guitarists working today. Ellis sings and plays with the energy and soul of all the great Southern musicians who have come before him. He attacks his music with rock power and blues feeling, in the same tradition as Deep South musical heroes Duane Allman, Freddie King and Warren Haynes. [Suki Willison]

Tab Benoit returns for a special Sunday show
Blues from New Orleans
Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Tab Benoit makes his home near New Orleans in Houma, LA. Born November 17, 1967, he’s one of a handful of bright rising stars on the modern blues scene. For most of the 90s, he’s been working each of his records the old fashioned way, by playing anywhere and everywhere he and his band can play. Since the release of his first album for Justice, Benoit has taken his brand of Cajun-influenced blues all over the U.S., Canada and Europe. Nice and Warm, his debut album for Houston-based Justice Records, prompted some critics to say he’s reminiscent, at times, of three blues guitar gods: Albert King, Albert Collins, and Jimi Hendrix.
See Benoit Sunday, June 13 starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 and will sell out!
