A new outdoor market opens in Topeka this Sunday, July 19 in front of Mainline Printing, on the north side of the almost abandoned White Lakes Mall. The market will be open from 10a – 5p and feature homemade goods, fresh produce, antiques, a swap meet, second-hand items and a flea market.
Anje Kearney, past owner of Kansas Avenue Market has teamed up with Rudy Arzate for the market, and with the help Henry McClure, were able to secure the deal and location with Mainline Printing for the new market. They choose Sunday for the market as to not interfere with the downtown Saturday Farmers Market. Their hopes are to provide more activities in Topeka on a day that isn’t already inundated with events and markets, and give more opportunities for local vendors and shoppers.
