seveneightfive magazine is proud to host the Top City Thursday Live concert series in conjunction with Downtown Topeka, Inc., Celtic Fox, and The Office bar. Located in front of the Office and the Fox at the corner of 8th & Jackson, the stage is set in the outdoor beer garden, which over the past two weeks has been packed with visitors to downtown who are stopping to eat, drink, and enjoy a few great local bands.
The performances begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the stage will be set inside the Celtic Fox.
So far the bands and performers who have graced our stage include That Damn Blues Band (5/17); Flashback (5/24); Jarrod Guth (5/31); Cyrus K. (6/7); Top City Ramblers (6/14, 7/12); Revolver (6/21); and Ellie Smith & the Commotion (6/28); Chris Aytes & the Good Ambition (7/19); Urban Safari (7/26); and the Josh Vowell Band (8/2, 8/9).
We are happy to announce the line-up for the remaining Top City Thursday Live concert series!
- August 16: Bridges | Sometimes folk, sometimes rock, sometimes blues, but always a crowd-pleaser.
- August 23: Orphans of Smooth Jazz | Fusing Latin + Funk with Jazz. You’ll be impressed, we’re sure.
- August 30: That Damn Blues Band | They kicked off the concert series, they’re closing it down!
We suggest bringing your dancing shoes and lawn chairs. Free parking is available after 5p at the city parking garage just to the east of Celtic Fox.
